>> responseABILITY Artists of the AiR programme West Balkan Calling Photos of the exhibition. |
| In the entrance room, works by Gregor Schlatte, Stefano Romano and sculptures by Wolfgang Obermair can be seen, in which the artist deals with the impressions he gained during his residency in Skopje. | |
| The occasionally humorous approach of Wolfgang Obermair can be seen in the video, which is part of the work: In the Skopje Zoo, two parrots seem to communicate with goats from the neighbouring enclosure. | |
| In Stefano Romano's video work, music makes it possible to experience what happens when the different parts of a community no longer work together. | |
| Gregor Schlatte´s work "The Fabric of Neoliberalism" consists of four photographs he took during his residency in Belgrade. | |
| The photos in the exhibition show the so-called "Cat & Dogland", a deserted area near the Belgrade airport. | |
| In the second room, works of tadi and Veronika Eberhart are being shown. | |
| tadi is exhibiting two paintings, each showing the same subject but painted in different colors, once in blue, once in red. | |
| In "2606" s he captures a moment in the life of her parents: June 26, 1991, when the two of them learn that war has broken out in Slovenia. | |
| Videostill from Veronika Eberhart´s work "A series of takes on Haki Stërmilli‘s Sikur të isha djalë" (If I were a Boy). | |
| ...as well as antique editions of the book by Haki Stërmilli, which plays a key role in the project. | |
| Numerous objects and prints by Velimir Zernovski are on display in the third room under the overall title "Beyond the Blackness". | |
| The works can be interpreted as comments on human alienation from nature. | |
| Moreover, the objects inspire us to reflect on what our world is about, what our idea of the universe is, or what we actually know about it. | |
| With "OBOD", Inge Vavra is exhibiting four textile sheets, on which she printed photographs she took in Cetinje. | |
| In Cetinje, the artist was interested in the mountains of rubble and rubbish which she found in the abandoned OBOD refrigerator factory. | |
| In the book accompanying the sheets, she gives an insight in her residency. | |
| Nina Valerie Kolowratnik´s work "No Return to Normal: On Legal, Spatial and Time-Based Realities of Property Claims, Home Occupations and Exchanges in Kosovo". | |
| For her, the residency was the start of a research project on the topic of returning to Kosovo, where property claims, home occupations and exchanges are still part of everyday life for the population. | |
| The stories of individuals are accompanied by models of the house in question, which is overlaid with a projection. | |
| Deniz Sözen´s Sound and Light installation "Rest in Peace (Sarajevo)" . | |
| A broschure gives an insight on why the artist realized an artwork connected to the cemetery in Sarajevo. | |
| In the corridor, Danilo Prnjat´s new interpretation of his long-term educational project "Open School of Economics" can be seen. | |
| Therefore, the artist is also providing some of the books, which had a big influence on the development of the project. | |
| In the corridor, the poster series which was produced in the frame of the exhibition is on display. All the 12 posters can be taken along. | |
| In the café-area of < rotor >, works by Dante Buu and Marko Kosović can be seen . | |
| In his photo work Dante Buu explores the precarious working conditions of artists who are in constant dependence on the art market, particularly the powerful in the art business. | |
| The black peep boxes contain the series "Immersion" by Marko Kosović. | |
| In his series of photographs he strives to capture the moments in which real and virtual space start to blur with one other. | |
| They show people using telecommunications in day-to-day life and make the pull that the consumption of digital media can exert visible. | |
