First, the curators Lara Almbauer, Iris Kasper und Nastia Khlestova will guide the visitors throught the exihbition. Afterwards, the workshop „Intercity“, which is inspired by the artistic practice of Anton Tkachenko, will take place. In Intercity, participants are invited to build their own imaginative train car from found materials, and symbolically “travel” from one city to another.
Anton Tkachenko’s work is rooted in his personal journey across cities, beginning in his hometown Kharkiv, which he was forced to leave after the Russian invasion. The artist explores together with <rotor>‘s art-mediator Laura Urdl the question: How we can shape the city and how does the city shape us?

During the workshop, we’ll reflect on Anton Tkachenko's approach of understanding cities as living organisms, shaped by relationships, actions, and memory. What happens when the traveler becomes part of the place or even the local dragon?
