Inspired by Elisabeth von Samsonow’s work Buchberg Epic. For Diana (the Imperial Eagle) and Titania (White-tailed Sea Eagle), is hosting a workshop that explores storytelling—in this case, about birds—and the origins of myths.

Laura Urdl, the art educator on the team, will explore some of life’s biggest questions with the participants, and together they’ll venture into (im)possible explanations. Against the backdrop of stories about large birds, the fear of chaos, and the potential of monsters, the workshop will discuss how myths are born, how they change, and how they are retold time and again. The workshop employs a creative technique that alternates between text passages and drawings.

Elisabeth von Samsonow has unfolded the Buchberg Epic in the entrance hall of the current exhibition. It is a narrative that spans from the Paleolithic era to the present. The artist presents it using a variety of media—from paintings and objects to performances.
