Cyanotype Workshop with Natural Materials

We will gather as a workshop group at < rotor > and then proceed together to Volksgarten. There, Christina Helena Romirer and Lena Gätjens will provide a brief introduction to the cyanotype process.

Afterwards, we will observe and photograph cloud formations. Within the group, we will discuss characteristics of different types of clouds, such as their density or edges. Additionally, we will collect natural materials like grasses, leaves, stones, flowers, etc.

Next, we will move to the garden of Theater im Bahnhof. There, we will experiment with the cyanotype process using test fabrics prepared for you. After some practice, we will attempt to create images of the clouds we observed, using the materials collected from Volksgarten.

As preparation for the workshop, you are encouraged to take photos of clouds that you particularly like in the days leading up to the event. Everyone is welcome to participate, regardless of age.
