An evening walk from Eggenberg Palace towards Plabutsch with the artist
Anita Fuchs, who calls for the rescue of bats in her exhibition contribution
‘Sät Glück’ (‘Sow Happiness’) at < rotor >, and Oliver Gebhardt, Regional
Coordinator for Styria for Bat Conservation and Research in Austria (KFFÖ).
At the beginning of the event, participants will be informed about the
diversity of local bat species. Bats are fascinating creatures, the only
mammals that can fly, and they play an extremely important role in a functioning
ecosystem. All native bat species are strictly protected.
During the walk, bats will be observed and the calls of the ‘flying goblins
of Plabutsch’ will be made audible using bat detectors.
Walk: approx. 1.5 hours slightly uphill, also suitable for children. Everyone
is welcome to take part.
Registration is requested but not obligatory: rotor@mur.at, 0316/688306
