allegedly imaginary Beings and Creatures: The new booklet brings together
selected works from a series of exhibitions that has been presented at
< rotor > from March 2022 until February 2023.
The starting point is, paradoxically, a human-made problem, which Edward
O. Wilson has summed up in the following way: “Hundreds of millions of
years until everything came into being, and we’re extinguishing Earth’s
biodiversity as though the species of the natural world are no better
than weeds and kitchen vermin.”.“
This booklet breaks up the chapters of the four-part exhibition series,
with the contents flowing into one another. From the threats to species
and diversity "On Damaged Earth", via the relationships between different
life forms
"In the Midst of New and Old Kinship", to the power of artistic creation
"Between the Found and the Constructed", up to the sphere of the invisible
"Beyond the Tangible".
