Presentation of the Edition Lichtungen #1.

The installation by Albanian artist Lori Lako deals with one of the central
themes of Poradeci's poetry: nature and its creatures. Through the encounter of natural & artificial, real & fake, analog & digital, temporary & permanent elements, the exhibition attempts to lead an open reflection on the state of contemporary nature.

The bilingual edition Lichtungen #1, which takes a literary, artistic and essayistic approach to Lasgush Poradeci, is published on the occasion of the exhibition

The special issue I HEAR A BIRD LAMENT, published in the EDITION LICHTUNGEN series, presents poems by the Albanian writer Lasgush Poradeci (1899-1987) and sheds light on his writing, his life and his time in Graz.
In addition, recent Albanian poetry will also be presented.

Artistic interventions by Lori Lako also link the texts published in Albanian and German with the biographical stages of Poradeci, who spent ten years of his life in Graz before becoming one of Albania's most important poets.

LICHTUNGEN is an internationally oriented magazine for literature, art and contemporary criticism and has been published in Graz since 1979.
