CONNECTING WITH ROOTS

As part of the exhibition Sediment, which will open on
November 15, the artists Rozelin Akgün from Diyarbakir
and Barbara Schmid from Graz have collaborated in
advance and offer a joint workshop in line with the exhibition.
“In this workshop, we will explore various plants and their
roots. We will focus on how plants are connected to the
earth and how they relate to the world through their roots.
We will draw inspiration from this process of rooting.
We will look for ways to trace our own sense of rooting
and express it artistically.”
You are welcome to bring your own materials:
Soil samples, plant seeds or natural plant colours,
which can then be used in the workshop.
