The Cuddly was created by Iza Rutkowska, who places it in different places in public space. The initial idea was to create a 'living' sculpture in contrast to monuments made out of concrete that become a negligible part of everyday reality.
The bear appears in each location just for a short period of time so that passers-by can hug it and keep positive memories of it. Standing on the way to work or school, The Cuddly motivates people to spontaneous play - not only with him but also with the surrounding space.
