Participation is free of charge.
in case of rain, the workshops will be cancelled and then held on one of the following days or on Saturday, 7th of July.

Volksgarten is a meeting place of many cultures. The navel of the participants is described as a center of their current living environment and / or as a symbol of the world. It should be connected with their desires, beliefs and hopes. The result of this workshop will be a series of photographs.

Erwin Stefanie Posarnig designed a special furniture set for Volksgarten. Table and chairs should be covered with colourful foil. On this day, participants will experiment with the foil - exactly on that location where this furniture set should be placed.

Materials for this workshops are "odds and ends" that you usually use when you want to make your home more cozy: posters, lenticular images, table cloth, trinkets, etc. By cutting, sticking, painting of these objects we intend to approach the individual concept of home.

Stamping, printing, stencilling. Planned and spontaneous words: solo, in a duet or in a group / fat or thin / white or colored: Slogans, love or pain messages, Sense & Nonsense etc., etc.

In this workshops, participants should learn different molding techniques: from a model to a finished piece. What is in fact a negative form? You can try it out during the workshop with a help of a quick plaster mold, produced with the help of a material called alginate.

Boring street signs can be turned into something imaginative. Photocopies of street signs at the workshop will be decorated with stickers, paper, etc. Batman and Robin will be walking instead of boring figures at the pedestrian zone-plate or a driving ban sign will become ninja...

DIfferent flowers are carefully placed, giving shape to various small animals. Colorful and fragrant. And transient. Therefore, the delicate creatures are photographed quickly to capture them.

As Pygmalion, whose sculpture in ancient Greece was brought to life, a huge sculpture out of different recycle material (cardboard, newsprint, plastic bottles, rags and clothes no longer usable) should be build with the help of Lisa Witschnig. All those who contribute will determine the vibrancy of the figure.

Trees, benches, shrubs, light poles, and other objects in the garden will be enmeshed, connected, involved and brought in a new context. Together they are working on drawing in the space. This creates something unplanned and new - perhaps a bit irritating?

The basic form of a mask is cut out of paper. Then different colours and materials are added to the mask to give it individuality. All who wear masks shoul be ready to be photographed professionally and can get the photo sent later.

Ytong is an artificial soft stone that can be easily formed. Reliefs are cut with simple tools and decorated with mosaics that participants can choose, for example African patterns and symbols. At the workshop there will be templates where the meaning of the symbols is explained.

Members of the youth center YAP decorated the wall in the game-room together with the artists Gernot Passath and Rasmus Bruning. The workshop was organised in cooperation between < rotor > and YAP - Young Active People.
