WORKSHOP 1

ICONographic

Graphic elements used to design T-shirts


In this two-day silkscreen- and graphicworkshop, symbols and icons are to be created, alienated, arranged in a new way and printed on T-shirts . The participants gain insight into working with graphic elements and into silkscreening.
Own T-shirts can be brought along!

WORKSHOP 2

REFRESHING AND PAINTING FURNITURE!
WHEN: Friday, 17 June and Saturday, 18 June, in each case 3p.m. - 6p.m.
WHERE: At Andrä-Platz, in case of bad weather in Andrä-Keller, Kernstockgasse 9

In collaboration with art association Baodo / Nil and the Andrä-Keller

During two days, African artists show at Andrä-Platz how small pieces of furniture can be painted and refreshed with little effort.
Please bring your own furniture: chairs, small tables, boxes, etc.

WORKSHOP 3

DESIGNING WISHFLAGS
WHEN: Saturday, 18 June, 3p.m. - 6p.m.

Design your own, personal wishflag and make it become part of the installation
"Gute Wünsche für die Zukunft“ ["Good wishes for the future"]. Various materials are provided to write, stitch, sew, draw etc. your own flag. All flags will be installed on the 3rd of July at Ändra-Platz. The wished can then, carried by wind and weather, be blown towards their fulfilment.

WORKSHOP 4

URBAN RUNNER SHOOTING
WHEN: Wednesday, 29 June, 2.30 p.m. - 6p.m.
WHERE: In the Annenviertel, meeting point: YAP, Orpheumgasse 8

In collaboration with the Graz show-jumping
group urban runner and with YAP – Young Active People

Urban buildings, mostly consisting of concrete, are the location for the show-jumping


For one afternoon, we throw ourselves into the concrete jungle of Graz and take photos with digital cameras of the Graz urban runners. They are fast - but we are as well! This workshop will focus on motion- and portrait-photography. Phototour with discussion, pizza and drinks in the end.
If you have a digital camera - please bring it!

ZEITGEIST ON THE TABLECLOTH – START TALKING, TABLE
PROVUD GORZWATZ / BINDING WIRES

There are letters and symbols to be printed on the tablecloth


Thoughts, ideas & utopias on white tablecloth. By using handmade wooden letters of the printing shop Alexander Bauer / Wolfgang Khil and textile paint, the white tablecloths become documents with the spirit of the age.
Please bring your own tablecloth!

First steps to get in touch with recycling art. Garbage found in Graz is transferred into objects by simple means. African "recycling art" is taken as an example. Additionally, information about the treatment of garbage in a global context is provided.

Throwing paint on a wall? Normally strictly forbidden! But today it is strictly allowed! Together we create a racy, wild PaintBagMural.

Various colourful crown caps are the raw material


Unbelievably many crown caps with different design exist . We want to use them to produce jewellery. Participants with outstanding talent can also create curtains or robust doormats. Tools for drilling, crushing, sqeezing will be provided, as well as a large number of different crown caps.
